If you are north of the city, you do not need to drive downtown. Westminster has Butterfly Pavilion, Standley Lake Regional Park for the days it is nice out, and the restaurants and patios of Downtown Westminster. Grid City VR is at 5700 W 89th Ave, about 15 minutes north of downtown Denver, with free parking at the door. Thornton adds indoor karting a short drive away.
