Grid City VR is a 6,000-square-foot virtual reality venue in Westminster, Colorado — minutes from Denver. Premium free-roam VR, story-driven VR adventures, pro motion sim racing, and a self-serve tap wall, all under one roof.

We wanted a place where a group of friends, a family, or a whole team could walk in, gear up, and actually do something together — not sit and stare at a screen. So we built one in Westminster: 6,000 square feet of free-roam VR arenas, story-driven adventures, and motion racing sims, with a self-serve tap wall and food from local partners in the middle of it all.
It started at home. A couple of years ago Grason brought free-roam VR back to the family — we all got hooked, and the idea wouldn't let go. Nearly two years later it's a real venue in Downtown Westminster, built and run by our family from the ground up.
It's not a classic bar — it's a self-serve tap wall. Five taps of local craft beer, wine, and cider, poured by the ounce: tap a card, pour your own, and sample at your own pace. Non-alcoholic cans and bottles are always on hand, and there's no age restriction on the venue itself.
Food comes from our Westminster neighbours — pizza from Sarpino's, Korean fried chicken from Bonchon, açaí bowls and smoothies from Superfruit, with more to come from Red Lotus Den. Pre-order online or grab it on-site. Want more game time? Add-on rounds let you extend any session.

Whether you want full-body adrenaline, a story to solve together, or wheel-to-wheel racing — pick your format and bring your crew.

Authorized Zero Latency — the only free-roam arena in the Denver metro. Wireless headsets, full-body freedom, squads of friends in the same arena.

Walk-around adventures you play as a team — explore impossible worlds, solve cooperative puzzles, beat the clock. Family-friendly to intense.

Motion cockpits with racing-style bucket seats and real force feedback. Quick Race or the full Race Experience — go head-to-head across rigs.
The essentials before you visit — where we are, how big, and who it's built for.
5700 W 89th Ave, Downtown Westminster — about 15 minutes from Denver, 25 from the Tech Center. Free covered parking on-site.
6,000 square feet with room for 130–150 guests — four VR arenas, four motion racing sims, and a tap house under one roof.
Book online anytime, or walk in based on availability. Weekends and evenings fill fastest.
Built for parties, corporate offsites, and celebrations — with partial or full venue buyouts.

Grid City VR is founded and run by the Skaalerud family. Erik and Wendy spent the last decade building some of Colorado's top-performing franchises — seven Orangetheory Fitness studios and the first franchised Big Blue Swim School, named the International Franchise Association's Top Franchisee of the Year in 2024.
This time they're building something of their own. Son Grason sparked it all when he brought free-roam VR home; today he leads marketing, daughter Celyn runs the venue as General Manager, and Hannah Lopez heads finance and strategy. Same operating standard — a brand-new kind of night out.
